hey.

I’m a freelance writer, editor, and journalist. A sizable chunk of my work has something to do with American religion, online culture, and/or disinformation.

I was previously a senior editor for MIT Technology Review, where I wrote about feeding crows and donating my body to science. I’m also working on a book project.

My work has also appeared at the Washington Post, where I worked for 6 years, the Revealer, the New Humanist, Slate, the Nervous Breakdown, at Religion & Politics, and in the Columbia Journalism Review. Once, I reviewed bars for a now-defunct nightlife publication, but let’s speak of that no more.

I have an M.A. in Religious Studies and Journalism from NYU, where I completed an academic and journalistic thesis on the American anti-Sharia movement.
